There Are Miracles All Around Us
“You can find miracles in people and places you least expect, so remain hopeful at all times.”
Frederick Osei-Manu
Sometime ago, I walked past a drinking spot (i.e. bar or pub) with a friend. I saw this gentleman sitting all by himself. For some reason, I walked to him and engaged him in a conversation. He opened up to me and told me what he was going through. Apparently, he was experiencing difficult moments because virtually everything he owned was gone.
This was a man who once lived in Europe and for no apparent reason just decided to move back to Ghana. In my conversation, I discovered he had given up in life. I asked him what he really was looking for at the drinking spot. This was his answer: “I am waiting for a friend to buy me some drinks.”
I knew better that the drinks he was waiting to be offered him were not going to solve the malady he was facing. I pulled some money from my pocket and handed it over to him. I told him to go home and find some food to eat. This man was grateful and kept asking me if I were an angel. I said no. He hesitantly said I was an angel. All because he had dreamt of an angel coming to help him to get him out of his woe that morning.
Miracles still exist. Miracles can spring up from unexpected places and from unlikely people. There is hope. Hope for good days. Hope for a glorious future. Hope for change. Live each day expecting something good to happen to you.
